granola

This yummy granola is our staple.  It’s pretty amazing.

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup canola oil

1/4 cup hot water

pinch vanilla and cinnamon

Mix well and stir into 3 cups thick cut oats.  Spread evenly on a baking stone and bake at 350* for 40 minutes.  Watch to be sure it doesn’t brown too quickly! 

 

 

 

 

This is my NEW version of nut butter granola!

1 tbsp salted butter

1/3 cup peanut butter OR almond butter

1/3 cup honey

tsp vanilla

3 cups thick cut oats

Melt first 4 ingredients til smooth.  Mix with oats.  Bake at 375* for about 15 minutes.  I realized you need to keep stirring the oats every so often, so it browns evenly.  This is so fun to make for friends… add any of your favorites to the granola once it cools.  A great combo is peanuts (if you use peanut butter) or almonds (if you use almond butter) for an extra nutty crunch!
